The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be officially unveiled on August 9 at an Unpacked Event in Brooklyn, New York.
Samsung has sent out media invitations to the event, which will take place at 11am local time (4pm BST) and is just over five weeks away. The event takes place at the Brooklyn Centre and will be live streamed on Samsung.com
The Galaxy Note 9 has a tough act to follow if it’s to significantly improve upon last year’s Note 8 phone. It seems certain the handset will feature the Snapdragon 845 processor (depending on the region), 6GB of RAM and Android Oreo 8.1.
It has been rumoured the phone will have a much larger 4,000mAh battery. Samsung erred on the side of caution in 2017 with then Note 8, following the damaging Note 7 fire risk debacle.
The design is expected to be largely the same, with a powerful QHD Super AMOLED display which will not have a notch. Indications are that Samsung will not be using an in-display fingerprint sensor for its Note 9 release.
