The Samsung Gear S4 is hotly tipped to be revealed later this year, with IFA 2018 one of the launch venues being mooted (potentially alongside the Galaxy Note 9) – and now we’ve got a potential idea of what one of its headline features might be.
Over on Chinese social media network Weibo, generally reliable mobile tipster ‘Ice universe’ posted (H/T SamMobile) that the Gear S4 would feature a 470mAh battery – up from 380mAh on the Gear S3 and just 300mAh on the Samsung Gear Sport.
A heftier battery cell would likely mean that the Gear S4 lasts even longer than its predecessor, the Gear S3. We praised that device’s battery life in our Gear S3 review, so smartwatch enthusiasts might well have something to look forward to in the coming months.
Elsewhere, SamMobile points to the Gear S4 coming available in three flavours: silver, gold and black colour options will apparently be available at launch. The site adds that Samsung is likely to continue with its strategy of launching two distinct versions of the Gear S4 – a fashion-forward model and a sportier variant.
